Our Corriedale Flock started with genetics from a few local breeders. We soon added genetics from the flocks of Owl Ridge Farm and Sherman/Franklin Corriedales. This made us competitive in the Northeast and also gave us a few class winners at the junior show in Louisville. With a desire to grow the flock and be more competitive at the National Shows and Sales, we looked for an opportunity to add females to the program. In the mid 2000’s we were able to purchase the Buck Monson flock of Illinois and quickly doubled our flock size. After our first lamb crop with the Monson ewes, we raised the Reserve National Champion ram at the National Sale in PA. The Monson ewes added a lot of great genetics to our flock and also got us started with fall lambing. We have continued to build our flock around ewes that have the ability to lamb out of season. In 2009 we were presented with the opportunity to purchase what I would consider the premier Corriedale flock in the country. The Dayle and Donna Waddington flock made the trek east from California to Massachusetts in May of 2009. We were honored to be able to add these elite ewes to our program and continue to see the influence of them today. DW 919 was a fall ram lamb when the flock was acquired and he continues to be one of our lead sires today. This ewe flock and elite sire have given our flock more body capacity and added bold, super white fleeces. We look forward to moving ahead with the Corriedale breed in the future; breeding sheep that can compete in the show ring and can also produce high end carcasses and lustrous fleeces.
